The Chasing Sprint contains all the excitement of a chasing start in one day. Competitors run two short courses, the second of which will have starts determined by times in the first - and so first runner past the post wins.
The event is taking place as part of the EUOC Burns' Weekend which includes the Edinburgh City Race on the Satuday and a Ceilidh on Saturday night.
New this year: 55+ age class
| Location | Holyrood Park, otherwise known as Arthur's Seat, located right in the centre of Edinburgh. The area includes intricate contours, along with open hilltops and spectacular views over Edinburgh. | |

Winning times for all courses will be 40-45 minutes for the prologue and chase combined. |

| Starts | Start times for the Prologue will be between 10:00 and 12:00. All competitors will have at least 45 minutes recovery time between the prologue and the chase. Base times for the Chase will be from 12:45 to 13:15 meaning that the winners should finish by 14:00 with the majority of competitors finished by 15:00. |
