JOKer 8th in Ski-WOC

Ali Crocker (USA) came 8th in this year's classic race at Ski-WOC in Sweden. Ali completed her astrophysics DPhil in Oxford just over a year ago. Ali commented:

"Woooooooooooooooooo! 8th! So so psyched! =) I was hoping to crack the top 20 again today, so super-duper happy with at top 10 result!"

Ali features as IOF Athlete of the Month for January 2012

Ali, who was named recently as Orienteering USA's Orienteer of the Year for 2011, has been featured as the IOF's Athlete of the Month for January 2012. She is introduced on the IOF Home page this month, with the following description:

"The IOF Athlete of January 2012 made her debut at the World Ski Orienteering Championships last year. And what a debut: she finished eighth on the long distance! In August she took part in the World Orienteering Championships in France.

"Alison Crocker, USA, is a name to remember for the coming winters – and why not also summers. Just recently she was featured in Sports Illustrated, and now you can read about her preparations for this year in our newest Athlete of the Month article."
